The digital ecosystem: benefits for businesses
Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development has announced plans to modernize the structure of operations for businesses. In order to increase productivity, officials will create a digital ecosystem, which will open up great opportunities for local businesses to develop.
The innovation will allow companies to create digital twins, find problems in the approaches of economic activity and change them. Such a model makes it possible to conduct experiments without affecting the processes at a real enterprise. And when the optimal model for effective business is found, then it can be gradually implemented in companies.
For this purpose the government will allocate a subsidy of 550 million rubles, the money from the federal budget will be given to enterprises through a non-profit organization. The funds will be used to develop and implement digital services and programs aimed at improving productivity. Such an initiative is held within the framework of the national project, which supports the development of digital technologies by Russian specialists. A total of 3.4 billion rubles will be allocated for the organization of a modern ecosystem of officials; the program is designed for the period until 2024.
The digital ecosystem is a great opportunity for companies. They will be able to analyze their current production processes in real time, identify problems and weaknesses, and find the best solutions to address them. In addition, this innovation will help better understand which steps in management activities will be the most effective. For example, this model can be used to decide on new product launches, prioritization of strategic orders, and more.
The digital ecosystem enables business owners to improve operational approaches without risky experiments or dramatic changes until the results and feasibility of such decisions are clear. Companies connected to the system will be able to apply a wide range of digital solutions created by Russian specialists. They are designed with common business situations in mind, which include models for increasing company revenues, reducing costs, and management solutions for optimizing staff performance.
To have access to the digital technologies presented, a company must be a participant in the state project “Labor Productivity. For those companies that are not included in this program, there is an opportunity to separately purchase a number of solutions and services that are part of the structure of the digital ecosystem. This initiative has attracted the interest of local businesses, applications for participation in the project were submitted by about 100 companies, and already 2,800 enterprises have used the digitalization services of the Ministry. Experts expect that by 2024, this figure will reach a mark of 5 thousand organizations. The national project is attractive not only because of the availability of advanced solutions, but also because of the mutual assistance and consultation of specialists, which, if necessary, can be obtained by program participants.
