Humanly is expanding its range of services by acquiring Teamable
Startup Humanly has announced the acquisition of Teamable. According to officials, the deal aims to strengthen recruiting developments.
Based in Seattle, Humanly provides a platform for automating the activities of HR professionals. San Francisco-based Teamable is also active in the field and offers AI-based tools.
The parties did not disclose the terms and amount of the deal. At the same time, representatives of the companies noted the importance of future collaboration. According to them, joining forces will make it possible to offer better tools for recruiting activities. These tools will, in particular, aim to find the best candidates for specific vacancies.
In addition, the companies will develop products to attract potential employees and increase conversion effectively. Prem Kumar, head of Humanly, points to the importance of automation in the recruitment process. Automation increases the efficiency of the HR department and speeds up the job opening and closing cycle.
Teamable director Matthew Raymond will join Humanly as vice president of product when the deal closes. Teamable has been in business since 2017. Its first chief executive was Justin Palmer, a director at Clara. In return, the startup’s acquisition will allow Humanly to increase its headcount to 50.
Humanly’s platform helps solve a range of recruitment tasks, including:
- selecting candidates;
- planning and organising interviews;
- automating the first interactions with a potential employee;
- checking references and CVs.
The product has great market potential, especially in a cost-cutting environment. The global crisis of 2009-2010 had a negative impact on all business sectors. The technology sector has also been affected, and many companies have made redundancies. Labour shortages have increased the demand for automated systems to perform various specialist tasks. Investors have also seen the potential of Humanly. The startup raised US$12 million in 2023.
About Humanly
The startup was founded in 2020. During this time, it raised US$17. Humanly offers an AI-based platform that optimises processes and can handle massive data.
Many companies, including The Key, HCA Healthcare and Worldwide Flight Services, use the startup’s tool.
The platform helps select candidates from thousands of applications. HR departments can tailor the processes to suit their needs, collecting CVs from different sources and processing them based on specific characteristics. The software automates the process of approving some candidates and rejecting others.
Humanly works with 300 clients worldwide. The acquisition of Teamable will allow it to attract more companies to work with it. The startup plans to expand its range of services and build an effective interaction network with clients.
